The holidays House

Independent, ancient farmhouse situated in a “unique” position at the base of a beautiful monumental Church and in the middle of the olive trees. The house is surrounded by its private and spacious grounds that dominate the surrounding countryside. Historic centre of Cortona is within walking distance and offers all facilities. Public pool and tennis are in Cortona, on “Monti del Parterre”, and near Camucia.  Always on Cortona, and not far away to the house there is horseback riding called “the Comanchero”.

There are 20 kms to lake “Trasimeno”, 35 kms to “Montepulciano”, 30 kms to “Arezzo”, 45 kms to “Chianciano Terme”, 53 kms to “Perugia”, 80 kms to “Siena” and “Orvieto”, 110 kms to “Firenze” and 190 kms to “Roma”. A Golf green is in Bettolle at about 18 kms.

The house develops on two floors. The ground floor completed restoration in 2000 and has 3 doors opening onto the furnished front lawn.  Main entrance is into a spacious living room with a ancient fireplace. An big archway, maked with the cotto briks in sight, divides the living and dining areas. The dining area has 3 doors: one is to a complete bathroom with shower, another is to a very nice kitchen that is fully equipped with gas range, two separate oven (traditional and quick cooking) and fridge; the last opening is to the lawn. A door in the kitchen also opens onto the lawn. From the living area a door opens into a single bedroom with small and charming  window. At the end of the living room is a staircase leading up to the first floor that was recently restored.

At the top of the stairs is an open study with double sofa bed and door to the outside garden on the upper level. From the study a corridor leads to doors opening into a complete bathroom with shower, into a twin bedded room and into a double bedroom. All have windows overlooking the front lawn and on the “Valdichiana”.  The house is very charming and comfortably furnished, boasting cotto floors and woodbeamed ceilings. There is national TV, DVD, and stereo CD player. A baby cot and high chair are available on request. Central heating is payable on consumption together with fireplace wood.
